This is possibly the saddest thing I've seen in a long time..an immigrant nurse talking about fleeing her home..she saved her UNIFORM. So she could still WORK for our communities.
I'd fill this country with a thousand of this woman than one of those good for nothing thugs.
God help this poor woman.
Donโt blame Pentecost, many of the tribal Kings do that as well - so the Pastor thinks he is a King. And politicians do the Same. Unfortunately this is everywhere people get arrogant. There are even a few churches in America that do this - and then groups outside of the Church. The Government has many in mental slavery! Having traveled to 101 nations over 46 years endeavoring to get people set free!
"You want the NATO allies to join you in a war in which you still cannot articulate the endgame. [...] You went to war thinking the Iranian regime would quickly topple, that Tehran would not attack the Gulf States or close Hormuz. Why would we align with such Epic Stupidity?"
You want the NATO allies to join you in a war you started without ever consulting these allies about the war or explaining your war aims. Weโre meant just to meekly fall in line.
You recently supported a US invasion of a NATO ally (Denmark/Greenland) but now you want these same allies to join your war.
Your president disparaged and misrepresented the role of NATO allies in Afghanistan. But now you want them to join with you again in a war of your making.
You went to war with Iran without a thought of how to keep the Strait of Hormuz open and without involving your allies in the matter. But now you want the NATO allies to bail you out, even though thereโs still no plan for Hormuz.
You want the NATO allies to join you in a war in which you still cannot articulate the endgame. Or what victory would look like.
You went to war thinking the Iranian regime would quickly topple, that Tehran would not attack the Gulf States or close Hormuz. Why would we align with such Epic Stupidity?
You and other know-nothing blowhards started this war all on your own. You can finish it on your own. If youโre able to โฆ
@Davedronyi23@Buzeki_Sharifah@joshjeje2 I see your point, but London started with horses and carriages. And yes, London transport has timetables, but we have to start somewhere.
@Davedronyi23@Buzeki_Sharifah@joshjeje2 No one expects an overnight transformation. The goal is to gradually shift toward public transport that moves more people with fewer vehicles and reduces gridlock over time.
@Davedronyi23@Buzeki_Sharifah@joshjeje2 I live in London where roads are old and narrow too. Yet millions use buses daily because moving people efficiently matters more than moving cars. A single bus replaces dozens of cars. Even without new roads, shifting trips to buses reduces the number of vehicles on the road.
@Davedronyi23@Buzeki_Sharifah@joshjeje2 Because a bus carries far more people using far less road space. One full bus can replace ~40โ60 cars. Same road, but fewer vehicles moving the same number of people = less congestion. Thatโs why cities worldwide prioritize buses and mass transit.
"We will not enter this war to serve the interests of others, nor will we sacrifice our sons in a conflict that could have been avoided through diplomacy and political solutions. We value the lives of our sons, and we do not treat their souls as "collateral damage" as some do."
@samuel_leeds Love this vision. At a time when many evangelical and charismatic churches are growing and planting new communities, keeping spaces for worship and service matters more than ever. Restoring a church for mission and generosity is a powerful witness. Praying it bears fruit.
Well for a start, Argentina almost erased its Black population. After making up 30% of the population, 19th-century wars and disease decimated numbers, while state-led "whitening" through European migration and census manipulation hid their legacy in a "white" national identity.
Man who closed down Grangemouth oil refinery to make a few more quid overseas, resulting in thousands of job losses throughout the community, says too many people are on benefits.
Jim Ratcliffe attacks people on benefits when he has had ยฃ120 million in taxpayers' money.
He complains abour migrants, after moving to Monaco where 2/3rds of the population are immigrants.
Just another rich man blaming poor people and Black people.
@Novine_Farm Uganda is the second largest producer of bananas in the world, but doesn't feature on the list because the many varieties produced are for home consumption.
@TonyNatif Ugandaโs airport expansion is a strategic play to boost high-end tourism in Kidepo, speed up exports from Jinja, and support the oil sector. Cutting travel times will make the country more competitive, though success depends on avoiding high debt and white elephants.
