The models you are calling for already exist, and your point makes a strong case for using their local findings more often.

The NBS tracks the cost of a healthy diet by state and by urban or rural location. Its household survey also asks whether families have had enough food. We equally explored these differences in a Proshare analysis.

I agree that we should use those local findings more often. Six cheaper yams tell us something about prices in Saki, but we still need to know what households can afford and eat adequately across the year.
