@jankeesvw Where are you coming from?
- Windows
- MacOS
- Another Linux distribution

[Kodington @kodington]

@tcballard @dhh I think there are many ideas involved with Omarchy, but one of the main is probably "How to make best linux distro". My proposal is: make new users feel welcome, make them feel like home and also suggest best practices.

[Kodington @kodington]

@NetworkChuck Dont' force people to change their behaviour. Default should be what people are used to. Suggest new defaults, but don't force them.

[Kodington @kodington]

@dhh I like Omarchy, I like my 49” 5120x1440 monitor and I like my mouse. I even like thinks like herdr and I use mouse in terminal. Edge case? Maybe. But please make Omarchy friendly for me too.

[Kodington @kodington]

@dhh @AnushElangovan Omarchy install cannot be compared to Debian install. Which is kinda sad, because Debian had all the time in the world to make it better.

[Kodington @kodington]

@dhh @satyanadella A few years back WSL on Windows was unthinkable. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and don’t forget OneDrive.

[Kodington @kodington]

@dhh @satyanadella Yes! Everyone will benefit from MS software on Linux. This is the way to enterprise adoption. ❤️

[Kodington @kodington]

@dhh tode - terminal vs code as default ftw

[Kodington @kodington]

@_MaxBlade There should be an option for mouse users.

[Kodington @kodington]

@dhh Year of Linux desktop when: 1. Adobe CC and 2. MS Office 365 work. Many industry standards are already incorporated, these two are missing.

Claude: Three simple tasks with Sonnet and one prompt with Opus Input: 76 | Output: 20.482 | Cache create: 259.468 | Cache read: 2.166.739 | Total: 2.446.765 | Cost $2.20 and I get Current session: 100% used. What? That is just wrong. @bcherny

Brutal crash, almost like we’ve seen this before. #Bitcoin

[Kodington @kodington]

@brendt_gd You have analytics data, right? What db are you using to store that data? With InnoDB probably MySQL? If that is true, checkout ClickHouse columnar db and get your mind blown.

[Kodington @kodington]

@theo I wonder what would Claude Sonnet 4.5 do in this case with same prompt?

[Julien Bittel, CFA @BittelJulien]

Not. Even. Close.
