Yesterday, I concluded my #FreePrimaryHealthCare working tour of the Ahafo Region.
I presented the first tranche of essential medical equipment, as part of Government’s efforts to retool primary healthcare facilities across the country.
I also joined community launches of the initiative at Amankwaakrom and Sankore.
Under the leadership of H.E. President John Dramani Mahama, we remain committed to advancing Universal Health Coverage by expanding access to quality primary healthcare for every Ghanaian.
This morning, I attended the 66th Republic Day National Cadet Corps Student Youth Parade at the Black Star Square, where I was honored to be alongside our esteemed Vice President, Her Excellency Prof @NJOAgyemang, who served as the Guest of Honour and Reviewing Officer. The theme for this year’s event was "Shaping Disciplined Leaders for a Prosperous and Hopeful Ghana."
In my speech, I encouraged the cadets to maintain their discipline and urged young people to stay away from drugs. I also reiterated our campaign against opioids, dubbed 'Red Means Stop.' I commend the leadership of the National Cadet Corps for their excellent work in instilling discipline and national pride in our youth. #YouthPower

President John Dramani Mahama has cut the sod for the construction of a 24-Hour Economy Market at Assin Bereku in the Assin North District of the Central Region, marking a major step in Government's drive to expand trade, create jobs, and stimulate economic growth.
The modern market, which forms part of the Government's nationwide plan to construct 261 markets across all districts, will include a day-care centre, clinic, cold storage facilities, warehouses, a lorry station, Police and Fire Service posts, a restaurant, pharmacy, improved sanitation systems, market management offices, and 24-hour banking services.
President Mahama noted that the project will enhance commercial activity, attract investment, and improve livelihoods in Assin Bereku and surrounding communities. He reaffirmed Government's commitment to accelerating development, reducing poverty, and expanding opportunities for all Ghanaians.

President John Dramani Mahama inspected the newly completed Ohiaba CHPS Compound in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese District and presented essential medical equipment to support quality healthcare delivery in the community.
As part of the #ResettingGhana tour of the Central Region, President Mahama reaffirmed Government’s commitment to expanding access to healthcare by constructing more CHPS compounds nationwide and deploying trained health professionals to serve communities.
The Ohiaba facility will help improve maternal and child healthcare, disease screening, and access to primary healthcare services for residents.

H. E @JDMahama has announced US$3.5 billion in new investments to revive oil and gas production after six years of decline. The package includes US$2 billion from Jubilee partners to drill 20 new wells and US$1.5 billion from OCTP partners for new exploration, increasing Jubilee Field production from 60,000 to 85,000 barrels per day. The investments will strengthen energy security, create jobs, support the development of the Tano West Basin, expand the Sentuo Refinery, and drive Ghana’s industrialisation and economic transformation.
