The club sells to kids and then is surprised when nobody in the stadium is taking it seriously. It surely must run off on the players to, it's not like they ever have crowd that's genuinely up for it
i’m getting so tired of the shitty fucking crowd at spurs women games btw. i’ve made a point before of saying that i hate how the WSL is being pushed as a family day out and people not taking the game seriously. i’m not talking just about low attendance because i know it’s hard
Honestly it's time to clamp down on this and kick out fans who are wearing away kit. Especially where, as here, we've given a generous away allocation. If clubs want to offer 'mixed' areas for family / friends with dual support, fine. But home ends are for home fans.
Martin Ho on heavy defeats: "No, I’m not worried. The goals we conceded, yes. There have been certain aspects collectively that we’re not happy with. We need to make sure we correct them. At the moment, we are getting heavily punished for small errors that we’re making." #thfc
My date of birth feels like a celebrity to me. Whenever I see it written somewhere random, like on a movie poster or a milk carton, I'm like omg there she is! Ugh, she looks great :)
Adding to my own discourse, but I have this exact same issue with England (not acknowledging Lionesses as a name 👍) when I'm there I can never properly get into it, cos someone's middle class Ma is dishing out dirty looks cos Tilly and Hattie heard a bad word for the first time
I'm almost glad I can't make it, we'll never grow as a women's club if the entire marketing is for kids and families rather than young adults with disposable income
The days of the Disney Princess / Sesame Street Live show need to end for women's football, and women's sport in general. That includes @NWSL.
Much like how @MLS had to evolve from the days of The Barney Show, which many of us grew up with and now have grown out of.

We allowed gender expectations to spill over into women’s sports to make them palatable. Sports typically thrive on rivalry, intense emotion, even extreme competitiveness, but we keep trying to portray female sports as “wholesome entertainment” and I fear it’s not helping.
