What I am about to say is long, but I have much more content in my book, Doctrine of Demons, because “Once Saved, Always Saved” is a doctrine of demons. Read on, but if you are not patient enough, get the book. Thank you.

Young man, you do not have a point. This is not about quoting one Scripture and building an entire doctrine on that one verse. If you have a position, use the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, because God is a God of pattern. Do you understand what I am saying?

In the Old Testament, look at the children of Israel. They were delivered from the land of Egypt. Remember, their deliverance from Egypt foreshadowed redemption in Christ (Exod 3:7–10; Exod 12:1–14; 1 Cor 10:1–11). God told Moses that He was sending him to deliver His people from Egypt so that they could serve Him and become a holy people unto Him (Exod 3:10–12; Exod 19:4–6).

When they were delivered from Egypt, did all of them enter the Promised Land? No. Now think of the Promised Land as a picture of final rest, and think of the wilderness as your Christian experience (Num 14:29–30; Heb 3:16–19; Heb 4:1–11). When you are saved in Christ, you must continue to believe in Christ and persevere in faith. This does not mean that the moment you sin, you automatically lose your salvation. But you must continue in faith, resist sin, and persevere in Christ.

The Bible says, “You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood in your struggle against sin” (Heb 12:4). So you must resist iniquity. The Bible also says, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need” (Heb 4:16). There is abundant grace in Christ to help you live the life God has called you to live.

The doctrine of “Once Saved, Always Saved” does not align with Scripture. It does not align with the life God has called believers to live. Paul told Timothy that believers are like soldiers, and no soldier entangles himself with the affairs of this life if he wants to please the one who enlisted him (2 Tim 2:3–4). What does it mean to be a soldier? When you go to battle as a soldier, you can become a casualty. That is why the Bible says that in the latter times, some will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons (1 Tim 4:1).

What does it mean to depart from the faith? It means they once stood in the faith, but abandoned it. They abandoned their calling. They abandoned their position. When we say that once you are saved, you are always saved no matter what, that is demonic. We are not saying that Christians never sin. We are saying that the idea that a person can never abandon the faith after being saved is a lie. Life is in the faith, and the Bible says, “The just shall live by faith” (Hab 2:4; Rom 1:17; Gal 3:11; Heb 10:38). Your life in the Spirit is guaranteed as long as you continue to persevere in faith in Christ.

This is not a conversation I can fully have here, because I can teach this from Genesis to Revelation. I can quote many Scriptures to prove that “Once Saved, Always Saved” does not make sense at all.

Think about Demas. Paul said, “Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world” (2 Tim 4:10). Paul also said that “the love of money is the root of all evil,” and that some, because of covetousness, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves through with many sorrows (1 Tim 6:10). That is the same kind of description Scripture gives to people who are being destroyed by their love for the world.

The way that leads to life is narrow. It is not wide, and it does not accommodate every kind of lifestyle a person wants to live (Matt 7:13–14). Jesus said, “If anyone wants to follow Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me” (Matt 16:24; Luke 9:23). Deny yourself. There is no Christianity without self-denial. There is no Christianity without continually following Christ.

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6). Many people do not understand that Scripture. It does not mean that because you once said you believed in Christ, you automatically go to the Father regardless of how you live. It means that Christ Himself is the way, and you must walk in the path He has revealed.

Many people also do not understand the words, “It is finished” (John 19:30). “It is finished” does not mean that Christ finished your own journey for you in such a way that you have no race to run, no faith to keep, and no obedience to pursue. Christ had His mission, and He finished the work the Father sent Him to do on earth. You also have your own race and calling in Christ, and you must fulfill it (2 Tim 4:7; Heb 12:1–2).

The grace of Christ is available to you, but that grace should produce righteousness and holiness in your life (Titus 2:11–14). If it is not producing those fruits, then you have received the grace of God in vain. Paul warned believers, “We then, as workers together with Him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain” (2 Cor 6:1).

The book of Hebrews also warns that those who fall away crucify the Son of God afresh and put Him to open shame (Heb 6:4–6). It also warns against trampling the Son of God underfoot, counting the blood of the covenant as a common thing, and insulting the Spirit of grace (Heb 10:26–29). God did not spare the unbelieving branches, and we must not be arrogant, but fear (Rom 11:20–22).

Your reverence for God will cause you to take the sacrifice of Jesus Christ very seriously. Therefore, when you transgress, repent and forsake your sin, so that you may receive forgiveness through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ (Prov 28:13; 1 John 1:9).

@JohnJames625635 @BinalayefaG @Preacherrapper It is because I’m saved bro, it’s called fruits of salvation. We can’t claim to be in Christ or call Him Lord but our lives reflect something else. Jesus says by their fruits you’d know them. If I we can’t see fruits, we need to ask you if you’re indeed born again.

Once you take your eyes of Jesus, you’re sinking. We are slaves to righteousness and if we continue to bear fruits of unrighteousness, we will be cut down..

Work it out, content for it by the help of the Holy Spirit and not keep living in sin and claiming we are saved. Show fruits that you’re saved and you belong to Jesus.

We are free but slaves to righteousness. You can start well and end wrong. You can get into the university, and drop out.. e.g Israel
