3 years ago, the world saw a photo of a young girl who had been raped, murdered, and literally disfigured, paraded through the streets of Gaza like a trophy.

We saw children, mothers, and entire families brutally murdered and tortured in front of one another. They filmed their demonic cruelty. They laughed and celebrated their evil. It’s all on film. I dare you to watch it.

The cruelty was unimaginable, and the evidence was undeniable.

I am still shocked by the silence. The silence from those who are the loudest when it comes to atrocities like this. Some of the loudest voices demanding humanity for others couldn’t find a single word for theirs.

These were innocent people who had nothing to do with how their country is governed. These were innocent people who deserved our voices.

May their memories be a blessing
