Brief talk to enterprises and investors in Singapore during my recent private trip there. In November we expect to welcome around 200 investors coming from several countries in the region who will come to explore business and investment opportunities in Cambodia.

The meeting of ASEAN leaders this week to discuss about political crisis in Myanmar was a good step forward. Singaporean Prime Minister called for release of political prisoners and their leaders. I hope some of the ASEAN leaders have passion, patient and compassion to follow up.

I’m glad that ASEAN has called for a meeting on 24th April in Jakarta to discuss the crisis in Myanmar. I’ve always been disappointed with ASEAN’s inaction on human rights abuses occurred in ASEAN countries citing restriction from the Charter which I think is an immoral excuse.

A “thank you & farewell” reception hosted by @ticambodia for myself and former BoD who have contributed to the establishment & growth of TIC. It’s a profound honor and privilege to have served as ED of TIC for 8 years. It’s my most challenging but also most meaningful job so far.

Today (July 10) marks 4 years of murder of a well respected political analyst Dr. Kem Ley. I stoped at the site (Star Mart) to pay respect to his soul (as I always did in past years). But, the Mart was closed. A dozen of journalists emerged from under the trees and approached me.

A new NGO “Cambodian Institute for Democracy” has been launched today. Guests of honor include Ambassador of EU, Sweden, Japan, head of USAID, Head of DFAT and Country Rep of UNOHCHR. It’s an honor for me to host this event although I don’t hold any position in this organization.
