Your view of capitalism is in its early stages, where it actually industrializes and innovates rapidly, but it ALWAYS trends to concentrated power and government serving private interest as a natural force

Socialism by definition is a collective ownership of means of production by *workers*, not government. Certain industries ARE nationalized.

What happens in late stage capitalism is the logical conclusion of the relationship between these systems.

Market forces NEVER correct the state of affairs for the betterment of society, but what generates maximum profit. Consequently, you know what generates profit? Seizing the state as an apparatus to create rules in benefit thereof

As resources become more limited and means of innovation become more costly, companies naturally turn to cost cutting and buy outs.
