@body_text @MishaalRahman Not exactly what you asked, but just in case you don't know, GrapheneOS (a security-oriented Android-based OS for Pixel phones) has a cool feature called Storage Scopes that makes the app assume that is has all of storage permissions even when it doesn't.

@Metr0pl3x @24coding_dev @GrapheneOS Wow thank you that worked! I had another user profile signed in with Google Play. When I quit that session and then tried to sign in the Yubikey was accepted. Do you have any idea why this might be? Thanks again!

@Metr0pl3x @24coding_dev @GrapheneOS Note, that in other user profiles where I'm already signed into Google Play, I'm able to use my Yubikey for websites. But having trouble with a new profile even signing into Google Play with FIDO.

@Metr0pl3x @24coding_dev @GrapheneOS I have the same issue. Created a new user profile, installed all three apps needed for sandboxed Google Play via "Apps". Gave them all network permission & storage scopes permission for Google Play services & yet when I try to sign into Google Play with my Yubikey nothing happens
