Once asked a student how he managed to get a prestigious scholarship from a foreign university. He said his Dad's friend was in the selection committee.
Those who have connections get seats.
Those who have money, purchase papers.
Those who have caste certificate, get preference.
As if India needs USA to protect itself. Most aggression against India is shown by USA.
What do these embassy staffers eat, smoke or drink? I haven’t seen so much hallucination in regular Americans.

India’s Escapism
Since last year, clear signs have emerged of a fundamental shift in U.S. policy toward India. The indicators are difficult to ignore: the latest U.S. National Security Strategy barely mentions India; the U.S. deputy secretary of state declared from Indian soil that Washington would not allow India to grow into an economic rival; the U.S. assistant secretary of state stated that the principal objective of American policy in South Asia is to prevent any single power from dominating the subcontinent; and Washington recently dropped “Indo” from the name of its Indo-Pacific Command. These developments come amid the declining salience of the Quad and an apparent revival of the term “Asia-Pacific” at the expense of “Indo-Pacific.”
The implication is increasingly difficult to dismiss. Washington no longer appears to view India’s rise as inherently beneficial to U.S. interests. Instead, it is beginning to see India as a potential economic and regional competitor whose power should be managed and constrained. U.S. interest in India is now largely focused on securing greater access to its vast market and gaining greater strategic access.
The 50% punitive tariffs imposed on India last year, efforts to make India more dependent on U.S. or U.S.-aligned energy supplies, the lopsided trade framework agreement of February, and the looming bilateral trade deal all underscore these shifting U.S. priorities.
Yet Prime Minister Modi appears unwilling to acknowledge the writing on the wall. This week he told President Trump that bilateral relations had “progressed significantly” since their last meeting in February 2025. In reality, the relationship has suffered a series of major setbacks during that period. Meanwhile, India’s foreign minister continues to speak of “deepening partnership across domains.”
Rather than acknowledge the implications of Washington’s policy shift, the Modi administration continues to promote a narrative of deepening strategic convergence, thereby deflecting questions — and opposition attacks — about whether its assumptions regarding the U.S. have been overtaken by developments.
This is a blatant violation of the Puttaswamy judgement, which recognised right to privacy as a fundamental right. In a country where cops can arrest you for drinking tea “suspiciously,” this will just enable more abuse of citizens’ rights
Unfortunately, much of the Indian media treated the joke as a solemn U.S. pledge to defend India. No wonder American leaders have become skilled at stroking India’s collective ego — or that of its prime minister.
"Only A Handful Of Christian Families, Yet A Large Church Proposed Near Temple; Mala Fide Intentions Cannot Be Ruled Out": Madras High Court Halts Construction In Coimbatore https://t.co/c61bJXg6Te
I found very serious concerns regarding large sums of funds belonging to Hindu Temples, Mutts and Endowments that have been invested in another questionable NBFC belonging to Tamil Nadu Government - The Tamil Nadu Transport Development Corporation Limited - TNTDFC Ltd.
The audited annual accounts of TNTDFC Ltd. for the year ended 31 March 2025, as contained in its 50th Annual Report reveal that the auditors have a very serious concern on "TNTDFC's ability to continue as a going concern."
No prudent Trustee of a Temple would invest in such a financial entity. It is only by illegal control of Hindu Temples, Mutts and Endowments - very large sums belonging to them were forcibly deposited in TNTDFC - To fund the huge loss making Bus Transport Companies of TN Government.
I request Shri @RameshOffcl to ensure that the illegal Government Orders issued earlier in this regard to be cancelled.
Today I have issued legal notices to the TN Government, @tnhrcedept , TNTDFC Ltd and the Prudential Regulation Division of @RBI
If the TN Govt and @tnhrcedept fail to withdraw the sums deposited by Hindu Temples from TNTDFC Ltd within a month and deposit them in safe financial entities like Nationalised Banks or Post Office Savings, I shall move the Madras High Court for an appropriate relief.

“We are in Iran right now..Only Indian ships are being attacked. Why? Why are you bringing us into your fight? We aren’t military or anything like that,” say Indian seafarers on US strikes on Indian ships
There you go again @TVMohandasPai. We went through this before and when I challenged you publicly to compare track records while I was in industry, you ran away. You avoid addressing the issue that you lack any tech background and expertise, being a mere bean counter/admin who exploited India’s tech youth with wage arbitrage to enrich yourself. The “big industry” you built was about exploiting our hard working youth as coolies. I advocated that Indian tech talent be channeled into Indian IP, and not rented out. You are obliged to suck up to the Murthy family without whom you were a nobody. History has proven that India should have followed China example of domestic IP and not the quick buck selfish approach. Compare Indian industrialists in tech with China’s. Why is India dependent on foreign licensing like a beggar? India has immense talent but its industrialists have been short sighted, selfish and arrogant. Now Indian youth face massive challenges unlike China’s as a result. The total market value of India’s tech industry is a mere 1% of the global tech market cap. Shameful for a nation of talented youth.
