In June we successfully collared 1 critically endangered West African cheetah in Pendjari, Benin, which is home to an estimated 20 individuals. The data from these collars will provide invaluable information on cheetah movement to better protect this vital subpopulation. 🐆

Zakouma in Chad is a prime example of how a well-managed protected area can deliver benefits to surrounding communities. In 2019 alone, the park supported 17 schools, enabling 1,500 children to receive an education, and funded 18 teacher salaries.
