On July 1st CloudFlare declared "Content Independence Day: no AI crawl without compensation!" returning 402 to the AI crawlers demanding they pay up.
Meanwhile RFC 9110 section 15.5.3 says the 402 payment required status code is reserved for future use.

If someone took time to read my profile and cared to write a note, I want to write a reply irrespective of my interest, but most likely a bot will process it and send to /dev/null. So the trust is eroded. Even if you take the effort to write a note, you can't get over suspicion.
AI slop: now LLMs read your LinkedIn profile and email you a very personalized bait like ohh your work on X at company Y is very aligned with us and we have the perfect opportunity for you at Z. You need to read twice to realize it's gpt generated. But this has a side effect 1/2
@GergelyOrosz@IchorousWings Most companies require you get permission if you moonlight and can deny, especially if you're contributing to a competition. That's awkward and breach contract.
