@QxD5e@ShoahUkraine Really?? I’m surprised how LITTLE Austrian he sounds. He sounds way more Bavarian than Austrian, which is interesting. Fits the rumor that he didn’t like his home dialect.
@thenarwhalca Waste-to-Energy plants are commonplace in the developed world and significantly more environmentally friendly than landfills. No surprise that Punjabis, who aren’t familiar with them from their home region and for whom “English-only consultations create barriers, reject them.
@MbBeijing@zhangelf1@nmamtbh I know, that’s my point. I could never imagine 南方人 to be this confrontational. And I don’t think that’s a good thing, they are too nice when it comes to provocations.
@zhangelf1@nmamtbh Hard to imagine that citizens here in southern China would have reacted as firmly. They are so gentle-natured, not too dominant, let alone violent. The mentality between 北方人 and 南方人 seems to be really different.
@love_canute@cool_hot_woman That’s why it’s all the more incomprehensible that even today some developed countries still use landfills instead of switching to more advanced treatment methods like Waste-to-Energy incineration 🤦🏻♂️
@kingorry032@johnherbert Yes and no, on Hong Kong Island there are indeed different lines for (red) taxis that travel on the island and to Kowloon; at least that’s the case in Times Square
