@daveweigel irony is that twitter has thrived with the existence of these popular groups, like journalists, and removing these safeguards while pushing those contributors away will only hasten the platform’s fall
@peterfox@levelsio the gap is closing, but it may be impossible to take every possible lens combo given the limiting factor of taking in light. people do treat you a lot more seriously with a big camera, but the difficulty and cost of lugging it around means most people should avoid them
@daveweigel that’s precisely what happened, progressives were in a “i love kam! but he can’t win and we can’t have a vallas/lightfoot runoff” and went hard for johnson. if garcia was closer there might have been confusion as to the way to split, but didn’t turn out in the lead up polling
@queer_spice it felt like mono returned at a low grade for over a month+. no sickness, but also no ability to do anything except sleep. 11 hours of rest in a night? won’t stop you from being exhausted all day
@ChristophMolnar @mezaoptimizer if this becomes an arms race of layered counter and anti-counter and counter-anti-counter measures, who do we think is going to be more determined? my money is always on the kids
@Wertwhile absolutely, every example i’ve seen is a clearly smarter, more intuitive and useful version than what i was taught. it often feels like what i figured out for myself, which i see plenty of others agreeing with
@trivialscholar@NateSilver538 there’s virtually no such thing as right or wrong when looking at a single event, only confidence and error rates, which when done repeatedly gain significance
