@DrCarlHindy I learned to kindly and firmly say that her mum had passed away years ago and move the conversation on nicer topics. It worked for us but I know others would struggle. Another suggestion…don’t keep kids away from dementia patients. My kids were wonderful and patient with mum.
@DrCarlHindy I tried to embrace my mum’s reality. She believed her own mother to be alive and asked how she was. I said she was well but that only sent my mum into frantic questioning about why she hadn’t been to visit, she got upset. I found it much kinder and calmer to explain the truth.
@wilts_villafan And they will manage it but that doesn’t mean that locals can’t voice their concerns that the impact on them will be beyond regular football issues. That’s not politicising a football match.
@danbardell@J_Tanswell@The1874Podcast What was the outcome of Villa’s complaint to PGMOL about the Rogers disallowed goal? Not heard a squeak out of either about it since.
@beds_villafan There is a bit of a narrative amongst some sth that I think the club help perpetuate that sth =loyal, member = day tripper to be exploited. The pricing of cat A games for members is also disgusting, yet few have complained about that. It’s a shame that it’s caused some division.
@beds_villafan As someone who had a st for many years but gave it up during my pregnancy/tiny kids yrs and came back when my eldest was old enough to come, the intimation from the club that you’re only loyal if you’re a sth is unfair. Members are getting stung more than sth. We should unite
@mjmarr_star @mattlyynch The club was clearly waiting for the interview to be released to release the ticket prices. They’ve played you journalists and they’ve played the fans.
@Alex_Berwick Liverpool aren’t losing 7 at Anfield and if they did they wouldn’t finish 5th. Brighton will finish above us again. Fulham aren’t getting relegated.
@B6Nigel Think you’re wrong about what it presents to young fans. My young Villa fan says it “looks old”. It’s a nostalgia badge, nothing fresh about it.
@Alex_Berwick Frank had a pop at the Villa fans for their disrespect of Gerrard so guess that’s a no go. Honestly don’t think the owners would risk going north of the border again. Most noise seems to point to Amorim but I could see him turning us down also.
@MarkMartindale Professional as ever but pretty cold. The club have let Gerrard drag him through the mud then ask him to do some positive PR, it isn’t great.
