Today’s education for the @WomenInTurfTeam volunteers — presented by @SyngentaTurf, @RainBirdGolf and @WomeninTurf — was focused on association updates from @GCSAA (Q&A with @GCSAA’s @KPBreen1, @White70L and @SheliaGCSAA) as well as updates from the @USGA.

Having worked with @SheliaGCSAA through the years I can testify first hand she has changed lives, and has been instramental mentoring the many women we see leading out in our industry.

I think perhaps one of THE MOST overlooked people in golf is @SheliaGCSAA. She was a bad ass superintendent (resort course bentgrass in Nashville, not for the faint hearted). An amazing tournament host (Jon Scott told me he wished every tour Super could be as good). And now a driving force at @GCSAA. She would never blow her own horn. Any discussion about women in golf and turf has to include her. @MattGinella
