Today is the LAST DAY for your voice to be heard regarding Graphic Packaging's ongoing pollution, permit violations, environmental racism, and the amount of the fine GPI will pay for all of its illegal and unethical activity.
@GraphicPkg_Intl @paperboardpkg Consider this before investing in these products. @GraphicPkg_Intl has been polluting the Kalamazoo, MI community for years. @MichiganEGLE and @EPA records provide the evidence. GPI continues to emit dangerous levels of toxins, the recent @MDHHS study provides the evidence.
The deadline for public comment is TOMORROW to let @MichiganEGLE know how you feel about Graphic Packaging's ongoing:
1. Toxic pollution
2. Permit violations
3. Environmental racism
4. The inexcusably small fine GPI will pay for all of its illegal and unethical activity
There is still time to make a public comment to EGLE about GPI's ongoing pollution, permit violations, environmental racism, and the amount of the fine GPI will pay for all of its illegal and unethical activity. Use the information below to make a public comment by October 31.
If we all add our voices we can make a difference.

@MichiganEGLE claims that they set fines at a level that incentivizes polluting corporations to change their ways. The current fine is not high enough for Graphic Packaging International in Kalamazoo, MI to even notice. Incentivizing GPI is clearly not working.
There are only 5 days left until the public comment period closes on October 31. This is our opportunity to comment on GPI's permit and air quality violations, any enforcement actions EGLE will take, and how EGLE will handle its permits.
