Confession: I Said "Yes" to the Wrong Man
I feel guilty every single day. Two men wanted to be with me. One treated me with respect, was patient, and always made me feel safe. The other was exciting, charming, and knew exactly what to say.I chose the second one.
Everyone warned me, but I thought they were just being judgmental. I ignored every red flag because I believed I could change him.
I had this single-mother neighbour who lived close to me. We were familiar with each other, talked occasionally, and there was nothing about our relationship that made me think she would ever cross a line with me. That’s probably why what happened caught me completely off guard.

Not too long ago, a friend invited me over for a meetup that would double as a sleepover. We’d grown apart over the years, but bro still thought we had that genuine connection.
I thought about it and said, “Why not? What could possibly happen in one night?” Plus, the he had a mad gaming setup.
