With digital assistance provided through smartphones to DWCRA women, technology has helped ordinary women make extraordinary contribution to the welfare of their communities. MEPMA & SHG members have played an extraordinary role to ensure Samaja Vikasam and Kutumba Vikasam in AP.

Through programs like Pasupu Kumkuma, StreeNidhi and Vaddi Leni Runalu, we aim to help women in AP become financially independent, boosting their confidence and self-esteem. Women currently form a larger part of the labor force with many working as auto drivers and taxi drivers.

With an objective to minimize dropout rate & increase enrollment of especially girl students in govt schools, we introduced Badikosta scheme. Under this, bicycles have been given to 1.87 Lac girls. Rs. 120 Cr were spent for distributing Raksha sanitary napkins to girls and women.

AP govt launched Deepam scheme as an avenue to safeguard women’s health affected because of inhaling smoke emitted by burning wood. With 100% of households covered under 1.53 Cr LPG connections, Andhra Pradesh has achieved kerosene and smoke-free status. #InternationalWomensDay
