#BREAKING A US Congressional bipartisan group of U.S. lawmakers is urging Secretary of State @SecRubio to raise concerns with Pakistan over the detention conditions of former PM Imran Khan and Bushra Imran Khan and seek an independent assessment of their health, safety and well-being.

The congressional letter cites concerns raised by the UN Special Rapporteur on torture regarding @ImranKhanPTI reported solitary confinement and reports about deterioration in his eyesight. It also highlights UN concerns over Bushra Imran Khan’s detention conditions and access to medical care.

The lawmakers are calling for urgent, independent verification of the couple’s health and safety.

The bipartisan effort is being led by @RepSubramanyam.

“The concept of a ‘hard state’ that Asim Munir is attempting to implement in Pakistan is entirely misguided. In its true sense, a “hard state” is one where the Constitution reigns supreme, justice remains independent, democratic freedoms are protected, and the national interest outweighs personal gain.

In contrast, Asim Munir’s notion of a ‘hard state’ signifies a system in which the pillars of democracy are dismantled and ‘Asim Law’ prevails. No ‘hard state’ can ever be established without the support and will of the people. The atrocities being perpetrated under ‘Asim Law’ are not strengthening the state. They are, in fact, eroding its very foundations. No country can become strong by turning its guns on its own citizens, as witnessed on November 26th (2024) and in Muridke, where the army, paramilitary Rangers, and the police opened fire on their own people.

The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have given a clear and overwhelming mandate to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. This mandate grants me the constitutional and democratic authority to determine the province’s policies, for my accountability lies solely with the people. It is also the right of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohail Afridi, to ensure the implementation of the policies, formulated in consultation with me, for which the people reposed their trust and cast their votes in our favor.

During PTI’s tenure, prudent policies fostered peace across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and beyond. Yet, since the regime change, the nation has witnessed a consistent deterioration in stability. Over the past three years, I have consistently emphasized the need for wisdom and foresight in dealing with Afghanistan through peaceful means. The current strained relations with Afghanistan are deeply concerning. Hatred and confrontation serve no one’s interests; only policies framed by genuine representatives of the people can bring about a lasting solution to terrorism.

The baseless and fabricated cases against me are being deliberately prolonged. In the Al-Qadir University Trust case, justice has been systematically denied for the past ten months. After an extended delay, the case was finally scheduled for hearing, yet the decision on bail continues to be postponed. I instruct all PTI political leaders, members of assemblies, and lawyers to regularly attend and remain present during all court proceedings of my cases, and to continue their presence until justice is served. Participation in open-court hearings is your legal and democratic right.

During PTI’s tenure in government, Nawaz Sharif was allowed daily meetings with numerous political figures in jail, with unrestricted access to family members. Even formal dinners were arranged. In stark contrast, I am being held in complete isolation. There is no precedent for such political vendetta in Pakistan’s history.

I am not being provided the basic facilities guaranteed under prison regulations. Over the past ten months, I have been allowed to speak to my sons only once, and that too for two brief intervals of three minutes each. I am being deprived not only of my fundamental human rights but also of my rights as the head of a political party, to meet party officials and consult with them. Hurdles are constantly placed to obstruct my meetings with lawyers, political colleagues, and family members. This is a blatant violation of my fundamental and legal rights.”

اگر ججز انصاف نہیں کریں گے، جس کی تنخواہیں لیتے ہیں وہ کام نہیں کریں گے تو عوام کہاں جائے گی؟ میں نوجوانوں کی آنکھوں میں انقلاب کی جو چمک دیکھ رہا ہوں، اسے کوئی نہیں سنبھال پائے گا۔ نفرت اس حد تک بڑھ جائے گی کہ عمران خان کے کہنے پر بھی محبت پیدا نہیں ہوگی۔

راولپنڈی فائرنگ واقعہ، پی ٹی آئی کا غیرجانبدارانہ جوڈیشل تحقیقات کا مطالبہ

پاکستان تحریکِ انصاف ایک پُرامن، آئینی اور جمہوری جدوجہد پر یقین رکھنے والی جماعت ہے۔ پارٹی نے ہمیشہ اپنے سیاسی و جمہوری مقاصد کے حصول کے لیے پُرامن جدوجہد کا راستہ اختیار کیا ہے۔

راولپنڈی میں پیش آنے والا افسوسناک فائرنگ کا واقعہ انتہائی تشویشناک ہے۔ پاکستان تحریکِ انصاف اس واقعے کی غیرجانبدارانہ، شفاف اور جوڈیشل تحقیقات کا م��البہ کرتی ہے تاکہ اصل حقائق قوم کے سامنے لائے جا سکیں اور کسی بے گناہ فرد یا سیاسی جماعت کو محض الزامات اور سیاسی مفادات کی بنیاد پر ذمہ دار نہ ٹھہرایا جائے۔

پی ٹی آئی کسی بھی قسم کے تشدد کی حمایت نہیں کرتی اور نہ ہی ایسے اقدامات کو اپنی سیاسی جدوجہد کا حصہ سمجھتی ہے۔ اگر کوئی فرد قانون شکنی میں ملوث ہے تو اس کے خلاف قانون کے مطابق کارروائی ہونی چاہیے، تاہم تحقیقات مکمل ہونے سے پہلے کسی سیاسی جماعت یا اس کے کارکنان پر الزام عائد کرنا قابلِ قبول نہیں۔

یہ امر بھی قابلِ تشویش ہے کہ مسلم لیگ (ن)، جس کی سیاسی تاریخ میں ماضی کے پُرتشدد واقعات اور "گلو بٹ" جیسے کرداروں کا حوالہ دیا جاتا ہے، کی جانب سے واقعے کے فوراً بعد سیاسی الزامات عائد کرنا اور محض چند منٹوں کے اندر پریس کانفرنس کے ذریعے ایک مخصوص بیانیہ قائم کرنے کی کوشش کرنا کئی سنجیدہ سوالات کو جنم دیتا ہے۔

قوم یہ سوال کرنے میں حق بجانب ہے کہ واقعے کی مکمل تحقیقات، شواہد کے حصول اور حقائق کے تعین سے پہلے اتنی جلدی سیاسی نت��جہ اخذ کرنے کی ضرورت کیوں پیش آئی؟

پی ٹی آئی واضح کرتی ہے کہ کسی بھی واقعے کو سیاسی مخالفین کے خلاف الزام تراشی، کردار کشی یا سیاسی فائدے کے لیے استعمال نہیں کیا جانا چاہیے۔ اصل ذمہ داروں کا تعین شفاف اور آزادانہ تحقیقات کے ذریعے ہونا چاہیے، نہ کہ پریس کانفرنسوں اور سیاسی بیانات کے ذریعے۔

ہم مطالبہ کرتے ہیں کہ واقعے کی مکمل تفصیلات، سی سی ٹی وی فوٹیج، دستیاب شواہد اور تحقیقات کے نتائج عوام کے سامنے لائے جائیں، ایک غیرجانبدارانہ جوڈیشل انکوائری کرائی جائے اور تحقیقات مکمل ہونے تک کسی سیاسی جماعت یا اس کے کارکنان کو بلاجواز موردِ الزام نہ ٹھہرایا جائے۔

Pakistan, just remember that one dictator is disobeying all court orders for meetings and IK’s basic jail rights. He must be held accountable for any health issues of Imran Khan.

He has captured courts hence injustice keeps occurring every day against IK. Asim Munir is the main culprit of all the mess Pakistan & Imran Khan are in right now. Do not forget, do not forgive him for giving the pain to Pakistanis across the world.
