I was honored to work on SB1281 with Senator @TanParkerTX, increasing penalties for mail check fraud, and strengthening law enforcement’s ability to pursue what has become organized criminal activity.
This is particularly important to HD6, because we are home to the Financial Crimes Intelligence Center. They have done incredible work to combat financial crimes not just in Texas but around the nation. This bill increases the penalties for bad actors, and it’s headed to the Governor!
Today is a BIG day for school choice. The House Committee on Public Education met to advance school choice legislation.
Speaker @Burrows4TX and Chairman @BradBuckleyDVM will then bring the bill to the House floor for a vote.
