👨‍💻 The Tech
#Shimmer is a Layer 1 Chain running on a DAG (Directed Acyclic Graph). DAGs aren't Blockchains. Blocks are able to be processed in parallel. Transactions on #Shimmer L1 are feeless and super fast.

#ShimmerEVM is a Layer 2 Blockhain, that is anchored into the #Shimmer L1. #ShimmerEVM is heavily optimized and showed incredible capabilities during performance testing.

There are up to 700 tps possible and transactions need below a second to be confirmed. Super solid stats for an EVM chain.

Transactions on #ShimmerEVM come with super low fees usually below 0.01 $USD.

#Shimmer and #ShimmerEVM are one. All tokens and NFT can be transferred trustless from L1 to L2 and the other way around. No need for bridges.

🪙 The Token
#Shimmer and #ShimmerEVM both run on the Token $SMR. It is the nativ token of the network. You need to lock it in order to transact feeless on the L1 and you need to spend it in order to transact on L2.

10% of the Tokens are governed by @TangleTreasury. A community driven DAO.

Another 10% of the Token has been reserved by the #IOTA Foundation to fund the infrastructure of the network.

$SMR has no inflation. The supply is fixed. No one dilutes you. This is pretty incredible for the tokenomics. It incentivizes people to actually use the network and look for opportunities to invest. I'll write more on that soon.

🛣️ The Infrastructure
Yes. Infrastructure is crucial and surely one of the reasons $SMR is such a steal at the moment.

Let me tell you, all the moves have been planned and are about to be played.

In order to attract liquidity to a chain you need two things. High Yield and a trusted Bridge provider to get your Assets from your Chain to #ShimmerEVM.

The Ecosystem Builders will take care of the Yield. We still need a AAA rated Bridge Provider.

Don't worry though. The contracts are signed.

The bridge will bring #Ethereum and #Bitcoin to #ShimmerEVM, as well as all the Stables such as #Tether and #USDC.

By the way. @IOTAMPC is going to provide a service to bridge #IOTA token to #ShimmerEVM in about 10 days. 500 Million $USD capable of entering #Shimmer super soon.

Beyond the Bridge #Shimmer will need a lot of Liquidity in order to be attractive for people to invest. It is crucial to have open and liquid markets for $SMR on CEXes. But, yeah, you know it. It has been taken care of.

That leaves us with one open point for Infrastructure. We don't have anything yet confirmed but we know the Team is in contact with all the big players and looking for a good deal.

Surely Listings will follow the coming hype anyways...

🏗️ The Builders
#Shimmer is coming with a lot of builders.

Most have their roots in the #Iota ecosystem. I'll focus on #ShimmerEVM in this post but dont think thats it. #Shimmer is likely going to be a top player in the realms of real world adoption.

For the Layer 2 we already have three world class DEXes running.

They are all coming with super interesting tokenomics and attractive yields (>2000% APR).

With @DeeprFinance and @LendeXeFinance Lending Protocols are about to be deployed. With @Virtue_Money we'll get a chain native stable coin on #Shimmer.

@ACCU_DeFi is a running yield-aggregator. @SnowMan_Finance will follow them super soon.

@IotaHeroes has been building a top notch game that runs on-chain and that has it's own growing community. @LabsChakra is building a super creative on Chain Game and there are so many more to come.

All of that is only possible with a strong community.
Indeed most of the builders are part of the community.
So where is the community?

Well, since #Shimmer is developed by @iota, the community share the same people. All $IOTA holders have gotten a $SMR airdrop became a part of this community.

Why is this important? Well someones gotta use the dApps, the NFTs, the Games etc.

And the Community is using the Network. We see constant 20k Transactions on #Shimmer already and there is load to come.

But the Community is also eager to participate in the projects. @ShimmerSeaDEX and @DeeprFinance all had super successful fair launches that 4x to 6x their tokens in a single week.

I am by no means a whale but my money is where my mouth is. I certainly bought $SMR at higher prices than it currently is and i am more optimistic than ever.
