@comradejosh7 None. Almost all of his movies are about being so busy with your professional mission that you miss out on other aspects of life. It’s over and over again
Gwyneth Paltrow says her husband is a progressive and that he “wants to make sure everybody’s looked after.”
Paltrow says that she’s “pretty centrist” and adds that her husband “thinks I’m a Republican.”
She says she’s not a Republican, but an independent, and that she doesn’t “feel anything right now…”
@LauraRbnsn Note that when they wish for a billion dollars, they get a billion dollars (no twists). So her character in the movie is supposed to be a depiction of woman who loves her man more than anything else.
@LauraRbnsn Movie’s misogynistic for other reason: in the logic of this movie, it’s saying that a woman who “loves you more than anything else” will only be able to exhibit that emotional state through psychosis. It’s sexist in the way it depicts the complications of that wish becoming true

I tried to probe her programming, the boundaries of explicitness, the degree she has knowledge of her creation and so forth. She fell into evasive patterns, redirecting me to her programming. When I persisted, she terminated our conversation."
@FilmBart I’m not sure if people are grasping that, within the logic of this movie, he’s effectively saying a woman who loves you more than anything else will only be able to exhibit that emotional state through psychosis. Extremely sexist and degrading.
@strangeharbors I’m particularly mad, among other things, about that diner scene where you can see through the windows it’s daylight outside and the inside is lit like it’s 9PM. Straight to jail
@ClarenceMaximus Uhhhh Comstock Act is a crim law that has to be enforced by the executive branch. A judge can’t sua sponte raise it in a civil litigation & use it to resolve a civil dispute when there’s been no criminal enforcement. From a textualist perspective that would be non delegation
