A key part to developing as a #guitarist (as on most other instruments) is to maintain a healthy amount of dismissing the "correct" or "conventional" #technique.
Your technique should be comfortable to you, and playing to your #strengths and #instinct will take you the furthest.
Stating the obvious here: a huge part of a #guitarist's sound relates to their "weapon of choice". Research the players you love. In my case, the ones I really admire all tend to use @Gibson or @Fender. It narrows down the options. Then you know what legacy you want to add to.
When a musician makes this face, it is 86% likely to be a compliment and means they accept/approve of your talent despite the fact that you may constitute a threat.
How to show appreciation to a friend when you’re a rock musician: “you’re like a snappy snare drum on the 2 and 4 beats.. you keep me driving forward 🥲”

Life is a jam session. Tempo is essential. If you find yourself rushing, maybe the same thing would feel better at a slower pace. If things feel too slow and stale, maybe you need to pick up the pace and try going into an unknown, riskier direction. #music#wisdomoftheday
