Knower of some of the things. Free Range Lecturer (CompSci, CompSec, SocEng). Wrote the dotGif webcomic. Master of space, time and shortbread biscuits.
@Alrightpunk I guarantee, Just like with Jodie getting blamed for dropping viewership Ncuti is going to have this blamed on him by certain "fans". Not RTD's random bullshit go writing and story beats, the Disney soft reboot, the bloody space babies, no it was the minorities fault of course.
@LisaForteUK Don't make any drastic changes like throwing things away because their presence causes pain, in time the strange alchemy of grief may transmute them into things that now bring a joyful reminder. (lost a partner of over a decade).
@Alrightpunk Its big dumb fun, I think its more accessible than the comic its based on but towards the later seasons it seems to become everything it is supposed to be a satire of.
@Alrightpunk Its clearly performative nonsense, you know what I don't do when I see something I consider an actual danger? I don't give it a deadline 6 months in the future! If they actually thought anyone was at risk (which they are not) the ban would be immediate.
@yppip Congrats! Many of our students are looking at bug bounty hunting as a career/hobby so if you ever want to come back and give a talk to them on how you started it that would be awesome!
@Alrightpunk Beautifully shot, some interesting twists, very much a slow burn so it all comes down to if it sticks the landing (haven't watched the finale yet.)
@Alrightpunk I wonder if this is one of those things that come down to age group. Buffy was clearly impactful in the 12-21 age range at the time, X-files seemed to impact above that.
@Alrightpunk There is a huge crossover between various diagnosis in neurodivergence, ASC etc. ADHD for example; of the normally used 9 diagnostic criteria the average member of the public will have a random mix of 3-4 of them, 6+ are needed to meet the criteria for ADHD.
@Alrightpunk Once, mid-lecture, just before I was due to say it I forgot every term that could be used to describe a baby bird, chick? gone; hatchling? don't know her; baby bird? flown away; in the moment all I could come up with was "birdling"
