Waffles, the 3 week old harbor seal pup found shot in the head over the July 4th weekend in Bellingham, WA has died.

It is the 3rd harbor seal shot in the past few months.

It's hard to imagine what kind of person would shoot a defenseless pup like this.

CAUGHT AGAIN: THE SAME RECKLESS BEHAVIOR THAT KILLED ROMANCH MAHAJAN.

Filmed by a New Yorker in Central Park just minutes ago.

Just one month after 18 year old Romanch Mahajan was killed, another carriage driver was caught violating the law by walking away from his horse and carriage to take passengers’ photos while leaving passengers seated in the back.

In a split second, this horse could have bolted into the busy intersection at Sixth Avenue and 59th Street just steps away. Horses have a hardwired biological flight response to bolt and run when frightened, putting everyone in the carriage and everyone in their path at risk.

This is the exact conduct @TWULocal100 @transportworker claimed drivers had been retrained never to repeat. Nothing has changed.

New Yorkers continue documenting the same lawbreaking and deadly conduct day after day.

@NYCCouncil: This is a glaring example of why Romanch’s Law (Intro 943) must be passed and enacted as quickly as possible. The same actions that killed Romanch Mahajan are still happening every day. We cannot wait for another preventable tragedy. @nycHealthy @createcraig @emmagf @SahalieD

As you can see in this video I took as the truck arrived outside a slaughterhouse, he is desperate.

Horse not hitched, no driver in the carriage. But they are scrolling their phones nearby so I'm sure they have this animal under control. Please @SpeakerMenin the horses gotta go. It's like this every day

Animal agriculture gets around animal cruelty laws by referring to a particular cruel practice as “standard agricultural practice.” 👎👎

This includes castration without painkillers. 😫

Carriage drivers continue to display the same negligent disregard for life that led to Romanch’s death. The attached video waa taken Tuesday. A toddler was in the carriage.
