@ColinSeanKing @madswag4315 I think that “widespread crime” thing is a feeling more than anything else. People have the sense that the city is dangerous, so it is. I’m not saying bad stuff doesn’t happen here, the way it does everywhere, but if you want a sense of how bad crime is you really need stats.

@tracewoodgrains Those upgrades would make their labor redundant, and remove their bargaining power. I'm not saying progress should be stopped permanently, but we can't expect them to take it lying down. We live in a market economy, and they are behaving like rational actors in that market.

@lemire That’s a little over 10x improvement. Frankly, I’d expect more of a difference between c++ and python. This was probably worthwhile because it’s being executed so often, but I’d still question how much money this is really saving.

@jesawyer Playing through NWN2 at the moment. It has autosaves, but they only activate once in awhile. I've had game freezes that set me back quite awhile. I'd rather have quicksave.

@unclebobmartin @ChristinGorman I'll admit that morality can be elusive, but choosing to kill tens of thousands (perhaps in excess of a hundred thousand) civilians to root out a terrorist organization is not a moral act. The only way they are able to get away with it is that the victims are mostly Muslim.
