LAV DIAZ’S MAGELLAN SETS SAIL FOR THE OSCARS 🗺️ 🇵🇭

The Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP), with support from the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), has officially announced Lav Diaz’s Magellan as the country’s submission to the 98th Academy Awards for the Best International Feature Film category.

The announcement was made by FAP Director General Paolo Villaluna during the opening ceremony of FDCP’s Philippine Film Industry Month 2025.

To further support the Oscars campaign, the FDCP will grant PHP 1,000,000 to Director Diaz and his team through its Oscars Assistance Program.
