The purpose of most politicians is to sell to the public decisions already made by the bureaucracy, and to take the heat when things go wrong. Biden, unable to remain awake during on-camera summits w/world leaders, is a perfect President, as far as the Establishment is concerned. Trump shook the system more than anyone in recent memory not due to his policies, which were mostly blocked or subverted, but for the simple reason that he created space in the public mind for questions and ideas previously forbidden.

It may be that the system is so entrenched that the bureaucracy will block or run out the clock on anything an anti-Establishment President tries to do. People try to sell their candidates as tough, bureaucratic infighters who can force the system to bend to their will, but I’m skeptical. Washington, DC is not Tallahassee. There are trillions of dollars and a world empire at stake. We’re dealing w/a system that will rig elections and frame a sitting President for treason.

Taking back the government is a generational project, not one that can be accomplished in 4-8 years, which means that the real value of a President is his ability to command public attention and use the bully pulpit to get people thinking outside the dream-world created by regime media. Maybe I’m wrong, but if I’m not, then Vivek is near the top of the list of people I’d want in that job.
