As per data released by government yesterday, total central GST receipts (CGST, IGST and Cess) in August were Rs. 81,298 crore and in five months Rs. 4,36,554 crore. In August, Central GST growth was only 2.92% and in 5 months (-3.59%) over 4,52,832 crore. No GST growth bravado.
When most journalists & TV anchors are busy carrying the ruling party’s brief, @RitikaChopra__ is doing her job quietly .
No theatrics. No manufactured noise.
Just digging the truth, asking uncomfortable questions, following the evidence and putting the story out. 🫡
It's been heartening to see our investigation into the inner workings of the Election Commission travel so far this week. Thank you for reading, sharing, arguing with it.
Now the harder ask.
Work like this takes months, and it doesn't happen on its own. If you believe there should be someone reading the notes nobody else reads, asking the questions nobody answers, and reporting what they find, fairly and accurately, however uncomfortable, then this is the moment to say so.

UPI charges are just a a start. Crude oil prices, FCNR(B) losses and the UP election freebies will ensure that we have more of this in the coming times.
This Girl used many expletives against Modi. It was in bad taste, but that's not a crime.
If She was a US citizen, she could say far worse things against Trump & NO ONE could touch her - That's Freedom of Speech - Absolute Freedom. No ifs & buts.
Convicted R@pist Babas are roaming free and a Misguided Girl is running from Police. That is Modi's India...
@DelhiPolice Show some spine‼️
India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi actually said this👇
• India celebrated Republic day on 26th January. 2+6 =8
• Indonesian President’s birthday is on 17th. 1+7 =8
With this IQ, this man wants to be Nehru!
🤦♀️🤦♀️
Dharmendra Pradhan's son
is studying in America, so did Nirmala's and Jyotiraditya.
Piyush Goyal's son is studying in Singapore, Anurag Thakur's son is studying in Canada.
S. Jaishankar's son is studying in the UK & even Smriti Irani (who hardly studied) sent son to study there.
Nishikant Dubey's son studied in Scotland
So why would these people bother about NEET paper leak
or CBSE scam or communal distortion of history by NCERT?
Or care about your children getting pushed around in trains and buses or even committing suicide?
Government of Hypocrites from Top to Bottom!!
Dear Sibi,
You have a bright future in Indian politics🔥The confidence & authority with which you say these things!💪
U should start as party spokesperson today (that way you’ll embarrass yourself at home and not the nation abroad)🙏🏼
They ran a full-scale PR campaign for a week just to justify hiking petrol and diesel prices. This government is proving to be worse than the British , profits are never passed to the public, only losses and higher taxes are dumped on citizens. Absolute shame.
Indian taxpayers spend over ₹400 crore every year on the salaries, pensions and perks of MPs.
300 more MPs means:
• More corruption
• More pensions
• More freebies
• More VVIP culture
• More caste politics
The system was never designed for common citizens.
It's funny that the armed forces have to hire Agniveers and schools & colleges have to hire temps because we can't give pension, no money saar, but we can totally recruit 300 extra MPs and pay for bungalows, security, pension, health, etcetc.
Forget 850, at this point, we don’t even need the full 543 MPs. After watching how Parliament sessions are conducted, it’s hard to believe they’re actually raising their voices for the people.
Waste of money and resources.
That 25,000 crore MOU is now cancelled.
Remember, this got exposed because it was announced on social media for PR.
Just imagine how much corruption must be going on behind closed doors.
There’s a reason this country is still poor after 79 years of independence.
The absence of press confs for 11 years has been remarkably consistent for someone marketed as a decisive and confident leader, perhaps because real questions could expose how fragile and manufactured that image is, even to loyal supporters. #BudgetForViksitBharat#Budget2026
#India is going through one of the most difficult phases in its independent history, marked by economic stress, job losses, weakening infrastructure, and rising corruption, yet all we hear are grand claims and lofty rhetoric from our so-called visionary Vishwaguru. @narendramodi
