@SharylAttkisson One cold day I got to work - tons on my mind…heard a noise - my 2 yr old son was still in the backseat. I was absolutely sick - 28 years lateri it haunts me. Can’t explain why I turned left to work vs right to daycare nor why I didn’t notice. But by grace of God there go I
My name is Ella, I'm 17 years old.
I do long jump. I play volleyball. I go to school in New Richmond, Wisconsin.
When my school allowed a biological male into the girls' restroom without telling parents —
I went to the school board.
With my name attached.
In my own town.
I got bullied for it. Harassed online. Even some of my own teachers came after me.
I'm still here.
Because here's what I know:
The net in women's volleyball is set nearly a foot lower for a reason.
A biological male can hit a ball across that net at force that could seriously injure a girl.
And in track — all it takes is three biological males entering the girls' category
and not a single girl in this state stands on a podium.
I didn't speak up because it was easy.
I spoke up because somebody had to.
The Supreme Court is about to answer the question every girl in America is asking.
We're ready.

@JenniferSey@xx_xyathletics Happened to wear the original Save Women’s Sports tee into a rural town of 800 people. Young lady behind counter who rarely says anything - looked me square in the eye and said I like your shirt. Just bought 3 more styles. It matters to our young girls.
I’m sitting right up front at @potus President Trump’s event in Chippewa Falls with @RepVanOrden, and it feels completely surreal.
I keep thinking about New Richmond.
I was just a high school girl who believed girls deserved privacy, fairness, and the protections Title IX promised us. I never expected speaking up at a school board meeting would lead to moments like this.
But I’m grateful.
Grateful to be here with my family.
Grateful for everyone who encouraged me.
Grateful that girls across Wisconsin and America are finally being heard.
This fight was never just about me.
It’s about every girl who wants to walk into a bathroom, a locker room, or onto a field and know that adults are willing to protect her.
@tracybeanz Maybe they didn’t have the same symptoms? I asked my Mom and 2 sisters- WHY didn’t you tell me? Turned out they didn’t have the degree of symptoms I had. All 3 had had a hysterectomy- not sure if that’s why…
@JenniferSey@xx_xyathletics How about frequent posts celebrating those who have stood up. I love your commercials so maybe supplement with something as simple as today we celebrate 10/20/z30….and at least 10 women, girls or men who standing up for fair competition. It could create a snowball effect.
@aakashgupta Have known 2 people with it and both have recovered and are able to eat red meat. 1 did acupuncture and the other just abstained for a long period of time.
@Here_s_Hoping Use them! I realized 3 months ago I had put up tea towels for 30 years and forgot the for the above reasons. Now every time I use the tea towel I think of my Grandmother. It’s so much better. Yes they will fade and stain, AND that’s OK
