IMF has given Pakistan bailouts a whopping 24 times since it joined the IMF in 1950. Pakistan’s first bailout was in 1958, and it has been a regular borrower from the IMF in 28 of the past 35 years.

Pakistan has had a very poor track record of implementation and adherence to IMF program conditions. It has utilised the bailout resources to enhance cross border terrorism. It is time Pakistan is held fully accountable.
