@pdouglasweather I largely hate it but tolerate it. I hate being cold, but I recognize that our winters are a critical part of the natural environment we enjoy in MN.
@LauraRbnsn Kevin Giles has been instrumental in calling out the heresy and his work traces the history. There was an ETS debate on it in 2016 with Giles, Millard Erickson, Bruce Ware and Wayne Grudem. Find a summary with links to audio here: https://t.co/3GCt0Jn0YR
@joshua_boe I will try to fix stuff/work in the back yard and our neighbor will appear with the tool and instructions on how to do the thing I'm trying to do. Very kind, but makes me feel like an idiot who is also under constant surveillance.
@kellygordonmn I have never gotten snow tires. When the roads are extra slick, I drive accordingly. Couple months ago, I got attacked on Reddit for suggesting that snow tires are likely not a necessity in the metro bc drives are short and roads are cleared quickly.
@amandabb__ My parents had one for most of my childhood. My dad has bad dust-related allergies, so traditional mattresses were an issue. The water bed was apparently a huge help.
Having been steeped in CCM as a kid, when my 5yo said "cool" I immediately began singing that "I'm not cool and that's okay" song by Scott Krippayne.
Now my kids are singing "Dad's not cool and that's not good" to anyone who will listen 🤦♂️🤣
@DeathbyAlchemy@mikester @joshua_boe Yep, and we'd gladly pay more if she raised prices. When you account for the number of kids, the 2 providers bring in around 100k combined, working out of their home, with some expenses (food, equipment) covered or reduced by grants.
@XianJaneway No way, everything at my grandma's house was off-limits. Everything was either too breakable to be touched by a child or was decorative and had to be displayed/arranged just so. Especially when I was little (under 10), I was in constant fear of doing something wrong there.
