Hi Leo's #Web3 comrades. Oops, pardon, pardon. Hi Leo's #Web2 comrades seeking decentralization.π§π»
We have witnessed an important development in our @Polkadot ecosystem in recent days. Today, we will delve deep into this matter together. Presenting to you: OpenGov!πͺ

Have you ever thought about why we need a decentralized governance approach? Since our early school years, we learn about the governance system that enters our lives through class presidencies and is further reinforced in school administrations, towns, cities, and national governments. When we reach the age of 18, we use the rights of citizenship to determine this governance system through voting. But how much do we contribute to this governance system? Why are we, as humanity, seeking a decentralized governance approach? What does the concept of Web3 offer us in this regard? Will blockchain technology truly provide us with a decentralized environment? Most importantly, what can we expect from Polkadot's open governance? Today, we will address these topics one by one. Sit back and enjoy this adventure.
Mission #01: The role of individuals in centralized governance? Do governments choose the people, or do the people determine the government?
Since the beginning of humanity, as a society, we have constantly been inclined to evolve. Individuals shape communities, and communities shape our history. Starting from the early ages, along with the evolution of this society, the concept of governance has changed. It has been transferred from tribal chiefs to the kings of empires, leaders of religions, monarchies, and most recently to the republican regime. With the development of blockchain technology, this collective consciousness has begun to transition to decentralized environments. So, I ask you, to what extent does humanity contribute to the current governance approach?
Through government elections that are renewed approximately every five years, communities choose their presidents and delegate the governance to them for five years. During these five years, the majority of decisions made are not the responsibility of the people or the community. Every five years, individuals are given a voice, and a governance approach is present in our lives.
In centralized governance systems, governments are generally elected or determined by the people. This system is applied in many countries based on democratic principles. People usually choose their representatives or leaders through elections and participate in the governance of the government.
A democratic election process allows people to choose a specific government or leader by exercising their right to vote. This voting process enables citizens to express their preferences and be influential in determining policies. Therefore, the legitimacy and authority of governments come from the people.
In conclusion, in democratic centralized governance systems, the role of the people is to be effective in the process of electing or determining governments. However, individuals do not have a say in the governance process during these periods. So, I ask you again: Do individuals choose the government, or do governments choose individuals based on their actions over a five-year period?

Technological revolutions occur, some get lost in this ecosystem, while others become crucial parts of this revolution. I will discuss with you why isn't @Polkadot engaging in marketing activities? Where are we going wrong? #Polkadot π€
As you know, #Polkadot has introduced many innovations to the blockchain industry due to its architecture. However, despite these innovations, it has faced criticism from many people for its perceived lack of marketing efforts. Is Polkadot really not engaging in marketing activities? Or is it presenting marketing through a technological revolution? Let's examine this together. Before we begin our discussion, it is necessary to talk about the origin story of Polkadot.
There are two significant organizations involved in the creation of Polkadot. One of them is @paritytech , and the other is the @Web3foundation.
Parity Technologies is a specialized firm in foundational blockchain infrastructure. They provide governance protocol upgrades, private @ethereum transactions, warp synchronization, pruning, and proof-of-authority consensus. Parity Technologies was formerly known as Ethcore and was founded in 2015.
@Web3foundation , also known as W3F, is an organization that funds research and development teams working on the advancement of the decentralized web, also known as Web3. The organization was established in 2017. Both organizations aimed to address the shortcomings in #Ethereum and #Web3 domains and deliver a seamless decentralized universe to the blockchain industry.
The foundations of Polkadot were laid with @gavofyork 's departure from Ethereum and his shift from the goal of a single computer for the whole world to a vision of a single computer for each blockchain. Polkadot made its debut in the blockchain world in 2020 and welcomed its parachains in the first quarter of 2022. Actually, many of us are already familiar with this origin story, but I wanted to mention it again. When we delve into the inception of Polkadot, we observe that it is an ecosystem that has been built in the blockchain world for years but gained its functionality in the early months of 2022. We can talk for hours about what Polkadot has technologically offered us. However, I can summarize why marketing hasn't been extensively done in a few sentences.
@Bremont Loving the use of new materials and the look of the Viper is amazing. Just an unwearable size, but appreciate itβs a first step in a new direction. π
