Removing the residential criteria from EWS, as has been done in some states, is entirely within the domain of the government. This would allow the 10% EWS quota to be utilised fully and reduce the pressure on Open Merit.

Yes, you are right. Unemployment is at its peak in J&K and job opportunities are already very limited. The J&K Government has fixed the qualification for MTS posts at 12th, due to which highly qualified candidates are being excluded from applying. @CM_JnK @sakinaitoo @nasirsogami
