If you save 30,000 cedis a month it will take you at least 30 years to save 1 million dollars. By then you’re already elderly. Many Ghanaians don’t understand monetary value that’s why a fraudster, drug dealer or politician can steal $5-100 million and we take it as casual news

The truth is that we don't know what we need, and our wants are always shortsighted. 2007, I needed 650k Naira to pay my rent, and my salary bill for the year was about a million Naira. I felt getting 5 million in commission from selling one property for my uncle would solve all my problems.
I tried hard, but the deal fell through 3 times with 3 different buyers. The last buyer was the funniest; his wife gave birth prematurely to twins on the day he was supposed to pay me, and he called it off because he had unexpected medical bills in America. I took that as God's sign, and it was.
Later that year, my salary bill was 5 million Naira a month, and we were paying it because we got a mobile money implementation contract for several counties for MTN. What I ended up getting and doing was larger than my imagination.
That was also the first year I started reading "The Prayer of Jabez," thanks to the recommendation of Diokpa (Senator) Emmanuel Chibuzor Nwachukwu. I also did the Prayer of Jabez Devotional for one month. I do it now religiously at the beginning of every year, and my territory is now enlarged and global.
"Oh, that You would bless me indeed,
and enlarge my territory,
that Your hand would be with me,
and that You would keep me from evil,
that I may not cause pain!"*
