Extended Random 90s at bats: Nolan Ryan vs Don Mattingly, Mel Hall, Dave Winfield & Jesse Barfield faces some extraordinary pitches. (April 20, 1990). Tom Seaver & George W Bush on the call…
John Sterling is as much a part of the fabric of the New York Yankees organization as any player. It was an honor to have him call every one of my games during my career and an absolute pleasure to get to know him on a personal basis. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed.

Prior to today’s game, we held a moment of silence to remember Miller Gardner, the son of former Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner.
Miller had a spark in his eyes, an outgoing and feisty personality, and a warm and loving nature. Miller grew up in the Yankees organization and had become a two-sport athlete, wearing his father’s No. 11 on his football jersey.
The entire Yankees organization grieves this unimaginable loss with Brett, his wife Jessica, and their son Hunter.
1987: The best pair of OLB in the NFL in the 80s was @LT_56 & @CarlBanksGIII. They both made the Pro Bowl & named All Pro in 1987. Banks stuffed Herschel to tackle Dorsett for a loss & 3 plays later LT snagged a pick out of nowhere. LT then got a sack/fumble at Dallas #Giants100
Rob Manfred says there’s “buzz” around adding the “Golden At-Bat” rule, where a team could choose one at-bat in every game to use its best hitter regardless of where they are in the lineup.
This would be the dumbest rule implementation in the history of professional sports.
@BadBadBrownie@Giants Yup, all of that is fair game.. But mocking a great *PERSON* for his heartfelt farewell is in poor taste. There is a distinction.. don't get *Spun* into thinking that human decency doesn't matter in sport. Hate the player, hate the org.. but mocking the person is in bad taste.
I just want to see the next Giants franchise quarterback treated better.
Better coaching, better OL, better receiver play, and overall, organizational stability.
It's definitely time for the Giants and Daniel Jones to move on.
But the way people were rooting against the guy will always be weird to me.
He was nothing but a class act from day 1; never any drama or nonsense; never complained once; incredibly hard worker.
He helped propel them to their first playoff win since SB XLVI (with a bottom tier WR core).
I have a ton of respect for him. Rooting for his success on another team.
Different teams. Different times. But Boone should remind players about the 1996 Yankees. They lost first 2 games of WS by a combined score of 16-1. Went to Atlanta and won 3 straight (Glavine, Neagle & Smoltz started) & won Game 6 in NY (started by Maddux). Bested 3 future HOFs
