@Alscho1999@Salt_n_Smoke@stackerco Romans 5 is a great passage to read that explains Christ dying for us while we were still sinners. We have peace with God once we have faith in His sacrifice.
@Alscho1999@Salt_n_Smoke@stackerco If He’s Lord of your life, so you submit regardless of your opinion.
If someone innocent suffers for your mistake, it should make you think twice b4 sinning. We know that & still sin, that’s our nature. Jesus shed blood to reconcile all knowing our nature. That’s love.
@BasicBaptistGuy@LDSRickSanchez@DiscipleFidei The HS guides us to all truth. So when JS says he’s establishing a priesthood, we know it’s false bc Christ our High Priest forever.
When we read 2 Nephi 25:23, LDS give their interpretation. So we have to use equal weights and measures when commenting on scripture.
@Faustzme@Nitterghost@stackerco I agree. Such a great chapter bc if we do our part like it says in verses 14-17 by telling them the word, LDS call on the name of the Lord and see the beauty in verses 9-13.
@stackerco@Faustzme If you don’t have faith in Christ, you’re unrighteous. If you do, Christ gives you His righteousness. Since He is just, everyone gets a fair shot.
I’m no Calvinist, I just read. People in the Middle East see Jesus in dreams. God is omnipotent. Nothing is too great for Him.
@stackerco@Faustzme v.19, God makes himself known to all. v. 20, His divine nature is clearly seen. There won’t be excuses for anyone. They’ll be held accountable for what God has revealed. God is just, Every decision He makes will the righteous.
Respectfully, what do you believe will happen?
@stackerco@Faustzme Brother, He who knew no became sin, the just died for the unjust that we may live in Christ w/ His righteousness credited to us. Look at the OT judgments, those who believe have their faith rewarded. That’s true mercy & grace.
This is tough to hear but He is patient with us all.
@Faustzme@stackerco Beautiful verse!! While God gives justice to those who reject Him, He is patient and long suffering first. By grace through faith we avoid the punishment we all deserve. That’s why we work the works He has given us! The just died for unjust!
@defense_of_fam@Primary_Pianist The just died for the unjust so we may be alive in Jesus. That’s mercy we don’t deserve. Peter refers to the flood to show God was patient w/ all & the faithful were saved.
Christians want LDS to respond to God’s mercy & patience since there aren’t second chances (Heb. 9:25).
@trueblue1421@Salt_n_Smoke@jaredadairbell Denominations not in heresy agree on the essentials. I don’t pursue my bro/sis in Christ like LDS. We are bros in a humanity, but we want yall to be adopted sons & daughters of Christ. So we talk to you to denounce the false Christ of JS.
Eternity is on the line for all of us.
@trueblue1421@Salt_n_Smoke@jaredadairbell Sometimes we end up agreeing to disagree. You’re an image bearer like me, so I think no lesser of you. The hope is the HS begins to work on the person’s heart and they come to know Jesus. He wants no one to perish & for all to repent (2 Peter 3:9)
@trueblue1421@Salt_n_Smoke@jaredadairbell Bro, people like @Salt_n_Smoke and I really care about LDS & want you all to know truth. JS is not a credible witness & his testimony contradicts the Bible.
We don’t want to dunk on you, just want you to know truth. God bless.
@PetGorilla@JasontheLayman The first time we see Joshua, he fights the Amalekites while Moses is on the hill with his hands. He’s also innocent during the golden calf debacle. Such a faithful man of God!
