The latest filing by Dominion Voting Systems in its defamation suit against Fox https://t.co/T31Q2BW8ha nails something critics have long argued for.
Fox is not a news organization. It's something else.
But what is this thing? I will try to answer that.

It's beyond any horror you can imagine, and yet it keeps happening over and over and over so we have to imagine it so we might find the will to stop it.
@DrNeurosaurus I'm just trying to imagine what "look American" actually, you know, looks like, and I'm ending up at star-spangled tank tops or cowboy hats. Were you wearing your Sam the Eagle costume again, Eugenia? :)

@RSButner My husband was recruited to his current job through there, but it was a very niche situation -- highly technical field, but an unexpected industry seeking his particular skillset. My own experience has been similar to yours.
@nikkiusher Gameplay videos seems to satisfy my 4yrold - it requires some up front work to identify content-safe streamers. But when I just can't handle catching another Bugsnack on demand, I have a playlist of family-friendly streamers I load up.
@RSButner It's easier than ever to interrogate the sources, to identify who they identify as experts. It also makes "synthesizers" more visible - people who are not necessarily doing the clinical trials but who are steeped in the data and can communicate it (@ProfEmilyOster comes to mind).
@RSButner Those rolodexes are developed through, as you noted, skillsets and personal networks and activities which are unrelated to the expertise. (Ultimately a newsroom diversity issue.) Online comms is magnifying an existing issue around influence, but also offers new tools to address.
