The 3rd BioE3 Working Group Meeting was held on 9th Sep 2026 at UPPC Office at Lal Bahadur Shastri Bhawan, Lucknow, focusing on strengthening Uttar Pradesh’s bioeconomy ecosystem.

Key discussions included the pre-finalization of the DPR, Hub-and-Spoke model, anchor institutions, budget & funding, 5-year implementation plan, measurable KPIs, sustainability, and governance & monitoring mechanisms.

The Working Group also reviewed outcomes from institutional consultations covering biotherapeutics & precision medicine, waste-to-health/biomass, and medical devices & emerging technologies.

Certified Reference Material (CRMs) play a pivotal role in maintaining the quality infrastructure of any economy. First steps towards ensuring the AYUSH and Functional food products safety, quality control, regulatory compliance and access of global market.@moayush @fssaiindia

@CSIRCIMAP has developed 14 Bharatiya Nirdeshak Dravya (BNDs), i.e., India's indigenous Certified Reference Materials, marking a significant milestone in ensuring measurement traceability, accuracy, and quality assurance in AYUSH medicines. These Indian CRMs will support method validation, calibration, and compliance in herbal, pharmaceutical, and nutraceutical industries. This CSIR initiative, further accelerated by CSIR-CIMAP and CSIR-NPL to promote self-reliance, reduces import dependence and aligns with the national vision. On the occasion of the 80th foundation day of CSIR-NPL, phytochemical BNDs were released in the august presence of Dr Jitendra Singh, Honorable Minister of Science and Technology; Dr. @DrNKalaiselvi, Director General, CSIR & Secretary DSIR; and Shri Santosh Kumar Sarangi, Secretary of the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE). Dr. Prabodh Trivedi, @DirectorCimap , and Dr. Karuna Shanker, Chief Scientist of CSIR-CIMAP, have attended the BNDs release function held at CSIR-NPL.
