Just to be clear over the past 8 years the governor of Illinois who is “Fighting for the People” has increased the taxes and fees of those same people 63 times taking $77 BILLION MORE DOLLARS out of their pockets

The medium Illinois household he is “Fighting For” now pays over $1,400.00 more per year in state taxes and here’s the bonus, the highest property taxes in America

Oh and BTW the people’s “FIGHTING” governor has doubled their gas tax which he refuses to suspend, costing them $.84 for every gallon of gas they pump

Nevertheless, they hired 8,250 more staff and grew their budget by a remarkable $2.4 billion.

Now Illinois taxpayers are footing the bill for their record-breaking $10.11 billions budget, while only 27% of grade-school kids can do math at grade level.

Consider the additional fact that over 40% of CPS teachers missed 10+ days of school last year, and it becomes painfully clear that CPS leadership is running a highly political jobs program for under-achieving adults, and not an education service for children.

The largest passenger toll hike in Illinois history is being quietly pushed through by @GovPritzker's appointed tollway board, despite 83% of public commenters explicitly opposing the move.

Here's what's coming:

>57% fee increase for everyday passengers

>30% fee increase for commercial trucks

>Automatic, permanent inflation-linked hikes starting in 2029

That last bullet means your tolls will go up forever without a single public officeholder having to cast a tough vote.

Arguably the worst part is that the tollway already collects $1.75 billion annually, which is $1.3 billion more than they actually spend on road maintenance and operations.
