rn, i'm giving unsolicited advice to vtubers and find it fun, even though it's rude
don't mind me, just posting random thoughts about internet chicanery.
@Comrade_Del Please provide evidence to your claim that AI is involved in "All parts" of a Professional Live2D rigging pipeline.
Including the movement and physics.
thanks! good night for now
“What are they going to do, sue people?”
That’s the same logic bad actors use.
They exploit clients because the client won’t sue.
You justify the conversion tool because the rigger won’t sue.
That’s not ending exploitation. You’re just switching who gets to use the playbook.
And my point is proven. Once again, everything is hoisted on the clients.
You're literally going against your words. Here we are, I and many others, pointing out the wrongdoings of the riggers and artists... and we get people like you telling us we're actually wrong and that we should've just protected ourselves better and it's not actually anyone's fault but our own.
It doesn't matter that riggers and artists clearly don't give a fuck about their own reputations and can't be arsed to lift a finger to regulate their own people. It doesn't matter that the relationship turned extremely one-sided and there are no protections whatsoever for the clients.
The system is, unironically and pun not intended, rigged against the clients. Fortunately, lots of people do not think like you and more and more of these tools will become available. The fuck they going to do, sue people? Spend money on things? Bring legal attention that will highlight all their own dubious and borderline illegal bullshit? Yeah, I don't think so. They'll just whine and do nothing, like the clients are supposed to do.
Don't like it? Find another client.
@Comrade_Del@KanaviHakurei The riggers are being exploited because the moc3 file that they give to VTubers is being edited back into cmo3 files which contains the "blueprints" of their work.
to illustrate this, it's as if the people are duplicating the keys to their kingdom!
sorry I'm having too much fun
@Comrade_Del "did you literally word that less people that accept one-sided contracts is a bad thing?"
No, I think you genuinely misunderstood that.
It's a good thing.
Can you explain to me how I worded it in such a way that to do so is a bad thing? because I'm not seeing it genuinely
@Comrade_Del Let me ask you this: Which parts of a professional Live2D rigging pipeline commonly involve AI, and which parts are still done manually?
Does the AI contribute to how the model moves, and its physics?
@Comrade_Del@KanaviHakurei Sorry for being dramatic! Just having a bit of fun~
Point still stands though. Asking for the cmo3 files to be to be included as part of their costs, and being a deal-breaker if they don't allow it are parts of the correction.
No mentions about starving artists, you said that.
@Comrade_Del Yeah, I don't know what kind of "slop" you're seeing, because you're blinded by hate and animosity towards riggers.
Until you can find me sloppy rig that costs more than 2 sticks of 32GB DDR5 RAM. Please, seek help.
@Comrade_Del@KanaviHakurei So, it's about the money then? Because they earn so much, means you're allowed to exploit them? lol
how can you stoop so low.
I've already said multiple times, I don't support bad actors and bad business practices. We should work to correct them, not destroy the system further.
@Comrade_Del The model does not become unusable without constant upgrades. It keeps working. The pressure to update is real in a competitive scene, but that is not the same as the asset stopping function.
@Comrade_Del Love it! make them charge more! what's the damage?
oh i don't know... how about: the idea that clients will complain about how rigging services went up from 600usd to 1000usd because this tool exists.
"I'm glad AI is coming, so we don't have to pay these exploitative riggers!"
@Comrade_Del@KanaviHakurei And right there is the problem. You don't see it as solutions, because really, you're not really looking for solutions. You're just looking for ways on how to exploit riggers, and what's worse is you're framing it as "client protection."
@Comrade_Del@KanaviHakurei We keep circling around because you can't accept the solutions I've provided and you're too focused on "only one side gets punished"
I'm not talking about how either one should be punished. I'm talking about how both sides can have protection from bad actors who exploit victims.
@Comrade_Del@KanaviHakurei Don't put words in other people's mouth.
If you don't have any meaningful reply, just say that.
All you keep saying is riggers are exploitative and all they do is screw over clients.
Not all riggers are exploitative, but there are bad actors out there.
Clients should be cautious
@Comrade_Del When you need "upkeep" for your model, does the model stop working? Does it become unusuable?
Pretty sure the answer's a big no there too. A good rigger will never stop updating a model until it is deemed useable by industry standards.
@Comrade_Del@AINO_X_Channel How disappointing. Your latest reply drops the substance and leans on emotional framing, accusations, and the same tired strawman.
