Jersey Legacy Week celebrates the impact of gifts in wills and to share the difference they can make to charities, no matter how big or small. The Charities Commission is encouraging Islanders to choose the cause closest to their heart and leaving a gift to it in their will.
Simon Cowell at Wildlife Aid was my childhood hero and as an adult a true inspiration. No animal was ever too small to help and he never let life or his illness dampen his spirits. A truly lovely man. @wildlifeaid
With immense sadness, we announce the passing of our CEO and founder Simon Cowell MBE.
He dedicated his life to British wildlife and worked tirelessly to rescue and protect countless wild animals.
He will be greatly missed.

Many congratulations to Becca De Freitas who qualified as an English Solicitor. Zoë Blomfield, Managing Partner, said: “We are really proud to see Rebecca qualify as an English Solicitor.. It is fantastic recognition of Rebecca’s ability and her hard work" https://t.co/xbsh36pfzS
@Elie_Jersey Will be voting today. Having chatted with others about this it is interesting how many people wont be voting. Seems to be a mixture of apathy & not enough awareness to encourage voting. Many didn't know about the new system or who they can vote for.
@lizzieferrara@jk_rowling I dont think either is right. He continues to live because he takes the elixir that he produces from the stone. He still ages but doesn't die. I'd imagine he could still be killed as maintaining everlasting life is not the same as being protected from fatal injury. Good debate
How sad to hear that D-Day veteran Harry Billinge has died at the age of 96.
He gave one of the most moving and memorable interviews about friends he lost in battle & heroism.
May he finally rest in peace.
Pleasure to meet Jersey’s Bob Le Sueur MBE today. He’s 101 and a half and is aiming to walk 5000 steps in a month, to raise money for Ukraine appeal. The challenge was inspired by @captaintommoore’s fundraising efforts - @Bobpennysteps @ITVChannelTV https://t.co/jKN4M68UKD
⛱ Nice to see Jersey being promoted in the Sunday papers today, with a fresh new look and feel to the campaign courtesy of @VisitJerseyCI.
“Jersey. Curiously Brit…(ish)” is a lovely line.
Jersey's government is being criticised over photos on social media of its staff awards ceremony where attendees aren't wearing masks. https://t.co/F3PZyX2cr9
