Throwing it back Club 90’s heated rivalry nights and the screams to Connor Storrie viral dance Like A Prayer by Madonna that sent us all in a spiral for months “the most Patrick Swayze since Patrick Swayze”
“The Gay and Lesbian Entertainment Critics Association (GALECA) has voted on another year of the best in LGBTQ television.”

Marketing expert Abby Hildebrand has shared on LinkedIn an analysis of Connor Storrie’s Saint Laurent partnership, using the new Fall 2026 campaign to explain why she believes the collaboration is working so well.
“The campaign, directed by Anthony Vaccarello and shot by Talia Chetrit reportedly the day after the Met Gala, features Storrie in curly brunette hair, bold logo frames, and leather. It’s simple. It’s confident. And it broke the internet within hours.
But here’s what’s really interesting from a marketing lens: the fan response tells you everything about why this works.
People aren’t just saying “he looks good.” They’re calling it Breakfast Club energy. Patrick Swazey reincarnated. They’re comparing it to early 90s editorial. Fans on TikTok are editing the video to different songs and every single one fits.
That’s not just engagement. That’s a campaign so visually and emotionally resonant that people are literally remixing it for free.
[…]This is what happens when a luxury brand partners with someone who genuinely embodies their whole vibe instead of just borrowing their follower count. The result isn’t just a campaign. It’s a cultural moment.”

@PauloJRN@hudconupdates_ I think YSL completely sh!t the bed on that choice. They were a massive musical fraud.

(I’m old enough to have owned a George Michael cassette tape and vinyl 😉)

Connor Storrie’s Verizon advertisement, directed by Nia DaCosta, has been named one of Ad Age’s best ads of 2026 so far.
The nearly five-minute horror short, titled “Look Behind You,” stars Storrie as a young man staying alone in a remote cabin, where a series of increasingly unsettling events begins to unfold around him. As the tension builds, the film ultimately delivers Verizon’s message: its service remains available even in the most remote locations.
In its selection, Ad Age highlighted Verizon’s decision to release the entertaining horror short at the right moment, while describing Storrie as “a young actor enjoying lots of attention for ‘Heated Rivalry.’”
The publication also singled out DaCosta, who made her brand directorial debut with the campaign, and praised the commercial for effectively showcasing both Storrie as an emerging talent and Verizon’s core benefit.
The recognition comes as Storrie continues to attract international attention following his breakout role as Ilya Rozanov in Heated Rivalry.
