@prathapatelru It’s interesting seeing the difference between these two generation who both grew up on the same technology have such a different outlook. I agree it’s important to temper nostalgia.
#millenials is a hashtag where people of this generation express nostalgia about the past and condemn the "softness" of generation z. This is a next example of one generation thinking they are better than another. #DCIM352
The #TheSocialDilemma is a movie that shook me to my core. I never understood how engagement can dictate my life. Every time I hear a notification I can't stop but look. All I can think of is how will social media evolve as time goes on. #DCIM352
Fortnite is a great example of immaterial labor. The game has a huge social aspect where you can play with your friends. You can also create your own products by customizing your own game mode that others can play. #DCIM352
An example of counter-public is the hashtag #AsiansAreHuman. They are a group that uses their online presence to bring notice to hate crimes and racism against Asian people. #DCIM352
@haley_konopka This hashtag is a great use of brand public because it brings together a group of people who enjoy Starbucks and love creating different combinations of Starbucks coffee. I might start using this hashtag to share my experience of sharing my own secret recipes at Starbucks.
@ChittRob This hashtag is a good example of brand public because I'm one of the people that are constantly using it. I use this hashtag to discuss with other people the economic consequences of an underdeveloped covid relief bill.
@nishberlin This hashtag is a good example because it specifies the topic that people are publicly discussing. Instead of #nba which can be a wide amount of topics #BeTheFight is for specifically Cavs vs 76ers games.
Every Friday I go on #wandavision to publicly discuss this weeks episode of Wandavision on Twitter. This would be considered brand public because we are all focused on one thing, Wandavision. #DCIM352
A hashtag that has sprung up with covid dating is #facetimedating. Since an intimate connection is hard due to quarantine people have resorted to using facetime to connect to people. #DCIM352 This is one-way intimacy has changed like a liquid in these times.
@nishberlin Hi Nishta, Stassiebaby is slowly becoming one of my favorite Tiktokkers. You expect someone like her to be fake but she's not. She's not afraid to let people in and it's great because I feel like I know her. I know her friends now because of her call. She will only get bigger.
@sydnieedelman Hi Sydnie, what Jojo Siwa did was really brave especially since her market is children. A lot of parents won't want their kids to be fans of her because of her identity. She knows she gonna take a hit but she gained fans in the process. Jojo is an example of someone backstaging.
@k_fausttt @Ashton5SOS Hi, Katie when I think of a backstaging celebrity I think of someone like Ashton. He uses his Instagram as a regular person not as a brand. He lets people peak in.
Marcus and Boyd describe "backstaging" as giving a glimpse into a person's personal life. Alex Rivera did this by sharing his break up story on Youtube. https://t.co/fn2X3f3g7R

Hi, I'm Kyle and I'm a senior at Rutgers. One hashtag I'm interested in learning about is #gamestop. I always wanted to learn about stocks #RutgersDCIM#DCIM352
