In 1937, under Jawaharlal Nehru’s leadership, the Indian National Congress shortened the national song Vande Mataram to please a section of Muslim leaders. Nehru believed that by removing verses referencing the worship of Shakti, the glory of ancient India, and the goddess Durga, Muslims would accept the song and the Muslim League would abandon its demand for Pakistan.

But what happened? Muslim not only took Pakistan but also took all privileges in India, and still today they don't sing even the truncated Vande Matram

It is time to restore the full, original Vande Mataram, a song that celebrates the spirit, culture, and unity of our motherland.
