@PhilipProudfoot If I were the Greens, I would stand aside so he can be elected as an MP (and PM) on the basis he includes PR in his manifesto for the next election. That keeps Reform out and clears the path for PR - they need to play the long game.
@AlisonH_BHX@AlistairCarns And 1p on fuel duty would mean no cuts for the disabled. Absolutely sickening priorities from a Labour government - motorists are more important to them than the disabled. Their Reform Lite act is only going to deliver us Reform citywide the way things are going. 🤮
@AlisonH_BHX@AlistairCarns It’s infuriating how Labour are missing such an open goal. Improving public transport and conditions for walking/cycling would massively benefit productivity/growth and public health in the least active city in the country. But let’s back motorists instead 🙄
@AlisonH_BHX@AlistairCarns Absolutely tone deaf for a Birmingham MP to post this. Does he ever experience life in Brum without a car, I wonder? Public transport that’s not fit for purpose and dangerous and unpleasant roads for pedestrians and cyclists.
Thurrock Council plans to cut spending on children’s services by £2 million. This includes opening a new council-run children’s home, to reduce spending on private companies. https://t.co/w1TX0G9NPa
Privatisation has added SO MUCH bureaucracy and red tape to our public services. It’s made them overly complex and inaccessible. If you don’t believe me try and find out how to get rid of extra waste in Birmingham and tell me I’m wrong.

Teen levels of physical, mental and social health are historically low. Screens serve as a handy scapegoat, but the fact is we’ve built an extremely hostile public realm.
Reverse that trend, and they’ll jump at the chance to get outside, move their bodies and meet their friends.
The Welsh Government 20mph policy looks to have saved 23 people.from death or life changing injury as well as 133 other injuries to date.
