@carrie_haverty Ugh, the dialysis center thing! Last Week with John Oliver taught me a little about it, but I have no idea how that translates to this Prop. It’s intentionally confusing, if you ask me.
Noninvasive prenatal screening (NIPS) is NOT prenatal diagnosis. Conflation of these two terms is still happening, even at #ACMGMtg22, and perpetuates confusion among patrons and providers.
Proud to have worked with current and former @myriadgenetics colleagues to apply @acog and @TheACMG carrier screening panel criteria to identify a guidelines-consistent panel that equitably identifies couples at risk, regardless of ethnicity.
Sickle cell is one example of hundreds of conditions that couples deserve to know their baby may have. @TheACMG recommends carrier screening for >100 conditions. Consensus by @acog is needed to build provider awareness and insurance coverage. https://t.co/Z5Cfea8N7x
Know anyone looking for a position to lead research strategy and innovative evidence development in the prenatal, cancer, or mental health space? @rbenshachar and I are looking for 3 Product Directors to join us in R&D at @myriadgenetics. Postings follow!
