KU Engineering mourns the loss of long-time aerospace engineering prof. Jan Roskam, who served from 1967-2003. He gained a worldwide reputation for his contributions to aeronautical engineering & aircraft design. He was an icon of scientific, technical & professional leadership.
Check out this viral video shot by recent KUAE grad Alex Zugazagoitia! A team of four faculty and students spent two weeks camped at Helheim glacier this summer collecting radar data. This calving event happened suddenly and unexpectedly.

@SusanMong1 This was a special showing, but we’ll be sure to announce if/when the Mamba becomes available for public viewing, or any other big planned appearances! 😊
Can you get one of these in crimson and blue?? 🔴🔵
Chancellor Girod paid a visit to the Engineering Complex yesterday to see the Mamba in person... And of course to take a quick test drive 😄
